Piers Morgan has officially joined the presenting team of ‘Good Morning Britain’, where he’ll be co-presenting with Susanna Reid three days a week.
The controversial TV presenter has previously guest hosted the ITV morning show, but it was confirmed on Tuesday morning that he’d be taking a more permanent position from now on.

He said: “I am very excited at the prospect of waking up at 3am every morning, and even more excited by the thought of how annoying Susanna is going to find me after a few months. ‘Good Morning Britain’ is a great show with a terrific team on and off screen. I’m looking forward to it enormously.”
Piers will begin presenting for three days a week, from November.
Managing Director of Daytime, ITV Studios, Emma Gormley said: “We're proud of the strong show we've been building over the last 18 months and that audience figures are up some seven per cent year on year. We look forward to continuing that growth with Piers as part of the team.”
Last month, he teased ‘GMB’ fans with the news that he was in talks with producers to potentially join the presenting team, explaining: “I may as well tell the truth about it... we've been talking about me having a more permanent slot there, which I would really enjoy because it was really good fun.”
His initial debut on ‘Good Morning Britain’ back in April split viewers’ opinion straight down the middle, and also put him at the centre of an investigation by Ofcom, after laughing at a swearing guest on the show.
While Ofcom decided not to take the matter any further, they did note that Piers’ response was not appropriate.
