Piers Morgan has come out against the working conditions at ‘Good Morning Britain’, going off-piste during a live broadcast.
So did he rally the troops, leading the ‘GMB’ studio in a hearty rendition of ‘Do You Hear The People Sing?’ from ‘Les Misérables’?
Erm… no. He actually just had a bit of a moan about the heating.
Susanna Reid is over it
Unimpressed with the cold in the daytime show’s studios, he ranted: “It is freezing cold in here, so people know... it's like an igloo!”
While co-host Charlotte Hawkins admitted she was sporting multiple layers to try and battle the cold, Piers later added: “We've got an update on the Siberia issue of our studio at the moment. Someone prompted me to check the Offices, Shops and Railway Premises Act of 1963…”
Susanna Reid, of course, was having none of it, bluntly telling Piers he was exaggerating as he ranted: “I want a thermometer. If it's under 16 degrees we're going out. We're out. That's it, all of us.
“We are being frozen to death by our employers and I'm not having it. Charlotte is going to die unless I take dramatic action, and I am going to launch a personal strike.”
This isn’t the first time Piers has used ‘GMB’ as a platform to rant, previously going off on one about Zayn Malik, who he accused of being “rude”.
He also accused Susanna Reid of “child abuse” when she admitted she’s been known to drop her children off at school in her pyjamas.
