A Pink fan got the party started by going into labour – and actually giving birth – during the opening song at her idol’s concert.
Denise Jones, 32, who was 36 weeks and five days pregnant, had to be whisked away during the opening song – and thankfully, there were paramedics on hand to assist her.
She gave birth a matter of minutes later in a private area and was rushed to Liverpool Women’s hospital with her new daughter, who she named Dolly Pink.
“The plan was to call her Dolly Louise but since she was born in the concert we’ve changed it to Dolly Pink,” Jones told the Liverpool Echo.
Her niece, Chloe Dryhurst, tweeted: “Baby Dolly Pink Born at @Anfield whilst watching @Pink concert! Mum and baby are doing amazing, thank you to the amazing paramedics that delivered her!”
Jones said she was “massively in shock” after going into labour earlier, but couldn’t be happier. “I’m just a bit gutted I missed the concert,” she joked.
The crowd doctor at the gig also tweeted about the birth, writing: “Wow. @DrJohnMat8 and I just delivered a healthy baby girl at Anfield at the Pink gig.
“Thank you for your help @NWAmb_PaulT @NwambG @NWAmbulance Amazing! #notjustagp #pinkforagirl”
The mum was flooded with congratulations messages on Twitter.
