Pippa Middleton stepped out last night for a family friend as he made his first steps into the film world.
The Duchess of Cambridge's very tanned sister was out in London to show her support for Tom Bradby, at the premiere of Shadow Dancer, a gritty Irish thriller set at the height of the Troubles.
Tom Bradby is the ITN reporter who got the biggest scoop of last year when he sat down to interview Prince William and his new fiancee Kate Middleton. Bradby and the Prince are longtime friends.
But last night, it was his turn to be in the spotlight, for the London premiere of his first screenplay, Shadow Dancer, the big screen adaptation of his novel, exploring the relationship between a British intelligence agent and an Irish woman he persuades to spy on her family, at the height of the Troubles in 1970s Ireland.
The agent Mac is played by Clive Owen, who last night described that time in Irish history as being "like a war zone, soldier drills going on all over the place". Read more here...
Andrea Riseborough plays Irish woman Colette McVeigh, torn between her conscience and her family ties. Gillian Anderson also stars in the thriller, directed by Oscar-winning James Marsh (Man on Wire).
