While most of us will be raiding the back of our cupboards in search of pancake ingredients this Shrove Tuesday, the Duchess of Cambridge's sister, Pippa Middleton, has become an official crepe-taster at all the fanciest pancake joints in town.
"This past week I've been in pancake paradise," Pippa wrote in her latest column for the Telegraph. "Helping to prepare and taste sublime creations that are a distant culinary relation of the heap of fried batter with a sprinkling of sugar that most of us consume on Shrove Tuesday." Humph!
We like to think we're a dab hand with the old pancake griddle, but we guess we'd rather have some top chef rustle up something all the more stupendous for us to chow on today.
And it's not just standard sweet pancakes - Pippa even had a bite of a beef wellington savoury crepe. "I love pancakes but savoury versions aren't my first choice. I'm more of a crepes Suzette girl," she wrote.
"Especially after a day's skiing when, for preference, I'd eat them outside with the smell of chestnuts sweetening the Alpine air, and chase them with a blast of Grand Marnier to warm the insides."
While we can't say we know exactly what Pips is on about, we've got to agree all of that sounds pretty damn yummy.
