Police are hunting a burglar who sexually assaulted two women as they slept while he raided their homes.
The man entered the houses on the Southwold estate in Bicester, Oxfordshire, in the early hours of Saturday morning.
While stealing a games console at the first home, he sexually assaulted a woman who was asleep on the sofa but when she woke up, he ran off.
Shortly after 6am, Thames Valley Police were also called to another property on the estate where a man had broken into the house and stole a number of items.
He also sexually assaulted a woman, but ran out of the house when she woke up.
The offender was black and had shaved hair. It is believed he was wearing a dark hooded top.
Detective Chief Inspector Vince Grey said: "I want to reassure the public that we are doing everything we can to catch this offender.
"Officers will be out in the area, patrolling, conducting house-to-house enquiries and offering reassurance to residents.
"I urge anyone who saw a person matching this description or saw anyone acting suspiciously to get in touch with police.
"It is also important to reiterate how important it is to make sure your property is as secure as it can be."
