Police are seeking a man who repeatedly punched a woman on a London bus, leaving her with a fractured skull in the “vicious” unprovoked attack.
The man got on the London bus at around 7:30pm on Sunday, October 7 last year and within 20 minutes approached the victim and her husband, both 28, who were sitting at the back.
He then launched the attack on her, before moving onto the man as he tried to intervene. The male victim was left with a swollen and bruised face.
The suspect then used the emergency stop button to open the doors and made off. The bus was around Limehouse Town Hall at the time.
The victims reported the incident to police and the bus drove to the next stop, where it remained until police attended. They were taken to hospital.
The suspect is described as a black male with short black hair and no facial hair, around 25-years-old and approximately 5ft 10. At the time of the offence, he was wearing a black jacket and trousers.
Detective Constable Lorcan Wolujewicz, of the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command, said: “This vicious, unprovoked attack has left the victims very shaken, with one sustaining serious injuries.
