A man who appeared to steal a venetian blind by stuffing it down his trouser leg and up his jacket is being sought by police.

Officers have released CCTV images of the man they would like to speak to following the alleged theft from Dunelm Mill, in Nene Valley Retail Park, Northampton.

The suspect entered the store between 2pm and 2.25pm on Sunday October 16 before leaving the store without paying for the blind, which had been concealed up the back of his jacket and into his hood, Northamptonshire Police said.

Security guards from the shop followed him to a nearby canal path, where the suspect dropped the blind, damaging it, before making off.
