Several Premier League footballers' Twitter accounts were hacked on Wednesday night during the Spanish Supercopa second leg fixture between Real Madrid and Barcelona.
Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam, Manchester City's Samir Nasri and Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea were amongst those who 'sent out' tweets featuring expletives.
Adam, subject of a £5m Stoke City bid, deleted this tweet
Other messages spoke of love for Cristiano Ronaldo, as the Portuguese hit the winner in the second Clásico of the season at the Bernabéu Stadium.
De Gea's tweets were sent out in Spanish as well as English
City's title-winning goalscorer Sergio Agüero was another north-west based player who tweeted out with the hashtag #ReyPadorowski and #Desmadrowski2012. Certain Real Madrid fans on Twitter suggested it may have been a supporter who targeted ex-players who represented city rivals Atletico Madrid, as well as Nasri and Adam.
Nasri earned the most retweets, thanks to vengeful Arsenal fans
Perhaps the best 'hacked' tweet of the night was the following though...
