You'd think that President Obama would probably have enough on his plate, running America and all that, but no, it seems he just wants to be like any other dad when it comes to helping out at his kids' school...

Barack apparently volunteers as a coach for his 10-year-old daughter Sasha's basketball team!

Speaking about 'dad duties' the president revealed he trains the team but sticks only to teaching the basic stuff like dribbling, passing and defence. He said that sport was especially important for girls because it builds confidence and gives them a sense of what it means to compete - and deal with boys!

In an interview with ESPN's Andy Katz, the dad-of-two said: "With the girls, they just think of it as dad, this is what dads are supposed to do. They take it for granted. And, what was fun, this is now the third year that the team has basically played together - and to see them all develop, to pick each other up when something's not going well - you can't beat it."

Obama is reportedly a big basketball fan and played when he was a student at high school in Hawaii.

Hmmm, hearing this makes us think our 'we're too busy to bake cakes for the school fair' excuse seem a little lame...
