There aren't many people who get a flower named after them, but nine-month-old Prince George is now one of those lucky few.
The Daily Mail reports a new variety of daffodil will be presented at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show in late May. Its name? Georgie Boy. Cute!
"The daffodil we are naming Georgie Boy in his honour is a sturdy variety, and we hope it will be around for many years," Johnny Walkers, a Chelsea gold medal winner, told the paper.
The money raised from the sales of the daffodils will go to a good cause too. "For every £10 of bulbs sold, £2.50 will go to London's Royal Marsden cancer hospital, of which Prince William is president," says the Mail.
The sunshine yellow flowers are bound to catch the Queen's eye when she makes her royal visit to the Chelsea gardens this year - and it sounds like they're one of her favourite flowers.
"We had daffodils on the royal barge for the Queen's Jubilee, then daffodils for a garden party at Buckingham Palace," Walkers said. "Now with Prince George it's a royal hat-trick of daffodils."
The only question is, will Prince William and Duchess Kate make a trip to the flower show to view the special flower variety with their son? We get the feeling George is only interested if there are real-life bunnies involved...
