News of Prince Harry and Cressida Bonas' break-up has only been public for a matter of days, but already Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, has been blamed for causing problems in their relationship.
That didn't take long.
Sources told the Telegraph it was Cressida's struggle with the spotlight that caused the split, but latest reports also suggest there was friction between Duchess Kate and Harry's girlfriend.
"Kate and Cressie just didn't get along," a source told Showbiz Spy.
"Kate initially thought Cressie and Harry were the real deal and their relationship would end in marriage. But in the end, she just couldn't warm to her."
The source added, "She tried to give Cressie guidance. If anyone knows about how to be an outside in the Royal Family, it's Kate. But Cressie didn't seem interested.
"William had words with Harry, and told him friction between between the women could cause a major problem in the long term."
However, there's still hope Harry and Cressida might reunite. Their break-up has been described as a "breather" and one source said the two are still very close.
"It's very sad that they have decided to split but this is a completely amicable separation and they are remaining the very best of friends."
So - perhaps more royal nuptials will be on the cards for the couple eventually? (William and Kate also had a brief "on a break" period before their marriage.) Although, it doesn't sound like the duchess will be involved in any of the wedding planning...
