Cressida Bonas has reportedly given up her dream of becoming a professional dancer - and has landed a £20,000 a year job in theatre marketing.
Reports suggest she wants to her earn her own living and not be dependent on Prince Harry, although, luckily, Cressy's dad, old Harrovian and businessman Jeffrey Bonas, isn't short of a penny or two either, and the family own a farm in Norfolk not too far from the Sandringham Estate.
A source told The Sun: "Cressie was very upset to give up on dance performance. But she is fiercely independent and doesn't want anything through her connection to Harry.
"She said she knew that if she was ever given major roles she would always wonder whether she had earned it or whether it was given to her because of her status."
According to the Independent.ie, the source added: "She's such an honest, sweet girl and in many ways is like Diana. Harry is just smitten."
Cressida follows in the footsteps of Princess Eugenie (also pictured), who recently landed herself a full-time role at the online auction house Paddle8, based in New York. Savvy Eugenie managed to get herself a slightly better deal, however, and pushed her employees up to £25,000 a year.
Thank God Granny's worth hundreds of millions...
