Professor Brian Cox has picked his top choice to represent the human race to an "intelligent alien civilisation.
In an interview with the Guardian, he said: "I would have chosen Carl Sagan, but I can’t now."
Comedian Robin Ince also chimed in to say: "just from our experience of working with him, someone that I think has a wonderful way of explaining ideas, and also has the correct temperament to meet possible alien cultures, is [Canadian astronaut] Chris Hadfield."
If and when we do meet our extraterrestrial friends, the first introduction probably won't be an easy one.
Who would you pick for the job?
