Rachel Stevens is urging parents to donate a baby blanket to charity.
The S Club 7 singer is a mum-of-two herself, so she knows just how much sentimental value a baby's blanket can hold for new mums and dads.
"The Dettol Baby Blanket Donation really resonated with me as a mum," Rachel said. "I remember bringing my girls home for the first time in theirs and what a special time that was.
"Many babies across the world will never get the chance to experience the comfort of a warm, clean blanket. That's the reason why I'm supporting the campaign, asking mums to donate blankets to those in need so that those babies don't miss out."
Rachel donated the first blanket to the appeal, one she used when her eldest daughter, four-year-old Amelie, was a baby. She also plans to donate one from her younger daughter, eight-month-old Minnie.
Rachel has previously spoken to Parentdish about how much she enjoys being a mother.
"It is literally like Christmas every morning! I remember my brother saying the same thing," she said. "He has got two little girls, and I remember him saying that before I had Amelie. It really is, when you see them for the first time in the morning."
Once collected, the baby blankets will be hygienically washed and re-distributed to families in need.
Dettol has also pledged to donate £1 for every blanket collected to children's medical research charity, Sparks.
