Photographer Rankin is the subject of a new exhibition at London’s Other Criteria gallery entitled Rankin: Contains Nudity.
As you might expect, the focus of the work is on the famous snapper’s female nudes, with a selection of 12 favourites selected from his extensive back catalogue.
And because no exhibition is allowed to run in the UK this year without making a token curtsey towards the jubilee, the show also features Rankin’s portrait of HRH Queen Elizabeth II – though not a nude, we might add.
Rankin's work will fill the gallery’s new ‘Photography Room’, something the man himself says he his delighted about.
'”I am very excited to be showing my work at Other Criteria - and particularly honoured to be the inaugural photographer exhibiting in the new 'Photography Room'.
“I have long been an admirer of what Other Criteria do and feel privileged to be part of the roster,” he said.
Since launching Dazed And Confused in the late 90s, Rankin’s star has risen to the point where he is now almost a household name.
Past subjects have included Britney Spears, Kevin Spacey, The Rolling Stones, Tony Blair and, of course, Kate Moss.
Last year he appear on mainstream TV as one of the tutor in Jamie Oliver’s Dream School.
Rankin: Contains Nudity will run until 21 June 2012. Here's a small selection of what to expect:
