Premier League footballer Ravel Morrison has arrived at Manchester Magistrates' Court.

The West Ham United midfielder faces two counts of common assault after allegedly punching and slapping his ex-girlfriend Reah Mansoor, 19, and her mother, Parveen Mansoor, 39, in the early hours of Sunday 27 July.

Morrison, 21, joined the Hammers from Manchester United in January 2012 for £500,000 and has spent spells on loan at Birmingham City and Queens Park Rangers.

The England Under-21 international won the 2011 FA Youth Cup with United in a team that included Juventus midfielder Paul Pogba.
