A teenage waitress has landed a slice of movie stardom- after serving a pizza to Four Weddings and a Funeral writer Richard Curtis.
Rebecca Chew, 18, took orders from the director and his family while he was filming his newly released time-travel comedy About Time in Polkerris, Cornwall.
Off-duty Richard, 56, was so impressed at the service he received at Sam's On The Beach restaurant he got his assistant to offer Rebecca a part - as a waitress.
The teen, from Lostwithiel, was on holiday in Majorca when the call came through.
She said: "It was a massive surprise. It's quite an honour really - I love his films, like Love Actually and Four Weddings and a Funeral.
"I'd heard rumours about Richard filming in Cornwall, but when he came in with his family I didn't recognise him at first.
"I'm just a Cornish girl - this isn't something you expect to happen."
Rebecca - who appears in About Time's credits as Pret a Manger server - is seen selling a sarnie to leading man Domhnall Gleeson.
She said: "It was very nerve-racking. I hadn't done anything like this since school plays."
Rebecca now hopes catching Richard's eye will help her launch a career in musical theatre.
She said: "He certainly wouldn't be a bad contact to have."
Richard said: "She was sweet giving pizzas to our kids so we cast her."
