The preview opening of the Zeitz Museum of Contemporary African Art was an extravaganza of parties, premieres, and performance artworks, but above all it was a fashion fest the likes of which South Africa has never seen before.
We put together a few of the best looks for you to marvel at, and make you look forward to the official public opening this coming weekend.
Former Justice, gay rights advocate and arts patron Albie Sachs was one of important guests there on the night, and he looked very dignified. But, if you swipe right, you'll see there were a ton of important folk in attendance.
Fashion designer Marianne Fassler wore her dreadlocks blue for the event. Swipe left to also see artist Nandipha Mntambo, who was a big star of the preview weekend, for her work that took up an entire floor of the new museum.
Performance artist Athi-Patra Ruga and stylist Malibongwe Tyilo both rocked the red carpet at the Gucci event. But so did everyone else. Actually, people just turned it up in general.
Ricky Rick obviously wore Gucci to the event, because he is basically a Gucci ambassador.
