Rita officially announced her spot on the panel on her Twitter page on Tuesday morning, writing:

Rita is also already feeling confident about her chances of mentoring the next winner...

The returning judges arev just as excited as Rita, with will.i.am describing her as “sweet, spicy and sassy - she’s going to be a great addition to the Coaches team.”

Ricky Wilson, who joined the show last year, echoed his fellow coach’s sentiments, adding: “I enjoyed spending last winter with 'The Voice', it's definitely fun to be part of a show with a spinning chair. I hope Rita likes it too… I'm sure the audience will love her.”

Presenting duo Emma Willis and Marvin Humes will also be returning to the series, with the first round of “blind auditions” kicking off in Manchester next month.
