Robert Pattinson Was Allegedly About To Propose To Kristen Stewart

Robert Pattinson was reportedly weeks away from proposing to Kristen Stewart before finding out she cheated on him with a film director.

Heartbroken Pattinson has reportedly told pals he wants nothing to do with his girlfriend of three years following her affair with married film director Rupert Sanders.

The cheating pair met on the set of the Snow White and the Huntsman movie, and were caught in a clinch last week.

Pattinson is said to have moved out of the couple's Los Angeles mansion following the revelations, but The Sunday Mirror are claiming that he was actually close to bending down on one knew to ask her to marry him.

A source told the newspaper: “Robert hoped to marry Kristen and was making preparations to spring a proposal before she admitted cheating. He had bought the house in Los Angeles to be their home and saw them staying there for a long time. Now Rob is angry – he’s left the mansion and not spoken to her since. They have exchanged heated text messages only.”

While one marriage didn't happen, Sanders is still hoping to salvage his. His father Michael said: "From what I gather nothing really happened and it is all a lot of fuss about nothing. She is a very pretty girl and when you work that closely with someone for so long, sometimes things happen.”

Twilight bosses are also in talks over how to promote the final installment in the series, which features Stewart and Pattinson as two passionate lovers.

A movie insider said: "This throws a spanner in the marketing works. They are the Twilight franchise and if that magic is broken then there are obvious difficulties.”
