Jessie Ware, Maya Jama and Dawn French have been officially confirmed as guest judges on the new series of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK.
The trio will be among the famous faces joining Mama Ru, Michelle Visage, Graham Norton and Alan Carr on their hunt to find Britain’s next drag superstar when the second series launches next month.
Singer Jessie, who will be judging the queens after they have taken on the iconic Snatch Game challenge, said: “I’d like to say I’m slightly good cop, and slightly bad cop.
“Look out for a lot of boners and me trying to be on my best drag behaviour in front of Mama Ru and Michelle.”
Former Radio 1 DJ Maya said: “I love all the glam that goes into to – I feel like I’ve learnt so much about the drag artistry. There’s just so much diversity to it and it’s important to show queer representation.”
Vicar Of Dibley star Dawn, who previously hinted she’d filmed an appearance on the show, added: “The queens this year are a total eye and ear feast.
“My judging style is, I hope, supportive but honest. I’m a massive fan of the show so I know what’s expected.”
Jessie, Maya and Dawn previously announced celebrity guest judges Elizabeth Hurley, Lorraine Kelly, Sheridan Smith, MNEK and Jourdan Dunn on the new series.
It has also been reported Gemma Collins will be appearing during Snatch Game this year, as the queens impersonate a host of famous faces as they play Blankety Blank.
Series two of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK will launch on BBC Three on 14 January 2021, meaning it will be airing at the same time as its US counterpart for the first time.
