Little Mix singer Jade Thirlwall has been announced as one of two new guest judges on the upcoming British series of RuPaul’s Drag Race.
Jade has never been shy about her love of Drag Race, even featuring former contestants Alaska Thunderfuck, Courtney Act and Willam Belli as her co-stars in the band’s Power music video.
She will now be joining RuPaul and Michelle Visage to help judge the British queens in one episode of the upcoming series.
She said: “I love absolutely everything about drag. I love that it’s art. I love how fabulous it is, how fun it is, I love that you can transform your body into a fantastic beautiful woman... the whole thing! I just wish in my next life I can be a drag queen.”
Also appearing in another episode will be Spice Girls star Geri Horner, who said: “I just love how drag encourages people to be exactly who they are.
“This show has brought so much joy and pride to people all over the world, I can’t wait for everyone to see the amazing queens representing the UK in this first ever series.”
Geri is the third Spice Girl to appear on the show, with Mel B and Emma Bunton having both been guest judges on the US version.
After years of speculation, RuPaul’s Drag Race UK was finally announced in December 2018, with the new episodes set to begin airing on BBC Three in the autumn.
Joining RuPaul and Michelle Visage on the panel as permanent judges will be British TV personalities Graham Norton and Alan Carr.
Former Game Of Thrones star Maisie Williams was the first guest judge to be confirmed for the series back in May.
