Gavin And Stacey stars James Corden and Ruth Jones have shown off their new svelte figures lately but it seems the chances of a new series of the show may be slim as they may have lost too much weight.
It recently emerged James, who plays Smithy in the series, lost five stone after changing his eating habits and Ruth, who plays Nessa, has dropped from a size 24 to a size 12.
However, Rob Brydon who played Uncle Bryn in the BBC sitcom feels it may be tricky to revive the programme as their look was important to the character.
Speaking to The Sun, Rob said: "It'll be tricky now, as a lot of what worked about Nessa was her weight."
And whilst Rob admits he isn't keen to film another series, he would rejoin the cast if there was enough public demand.
He said: "I personally think it would be best just to leave it.
"But people want it - and if they did do it, I wouldn't be the one who stood out and didn't."
Ruth Jones recently admitted part of her reason for losing weight was for her career.
Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, she said: "You have to be realistic about this profession. I remember being asked to audition for a TV version of the 'Fat Slags', for example."
She added: "And to be fair, I wasn't really getting offered roles that said, 'Fat, ugly and whatever'. Though I did early on."
James, however, had slightly different reasons as he wanted to be able to play with his 10-month-old son.
According to The Mirror, a source recently said: "Since becoming a dad, his priorities have changed. He realised he wanted to get fit and maximise play time with his son Max.
"He didn't want to be huffing and puffing around after the youngster."
