Ryanair Could 'Screen Porn': Pay-Per-View Blue Movies Proposed

Sit Back And Enjoy The Ride: Ryanair Unveils Inflight Porn Plans

Plans by budget airline Ryanair to screen porn, via an online app for smartphones and laptops, have been unveiled in the latest money-spinning proposal by company CEO Michael O'Leary.

Blue movies are not the only thing that could be downloaded to wile away time up in the air, as gambling, playing games and watching regular pay-per-view films could also be enjoyed. O'Leary told the Sun:

"I'm not talking about having it on screens on the back of seats for everyone to see. It would be on handheld devices."

"Hotels around the world have it, so why wouldn't we?"

Watching porn with children seated just centimetres away is just one reason why the proposal is controversial. Bob Atkinson, of Travelsupermarket, said: "There may be a market for porn in hotels, but that's in the privacy of a room. Anyone could see it on a plane. It's wrong."

However with cost-effective broadband needing to be developed before mile-high viewing becomes available, the proposal is unlikely to be implemented soon. A spokesperson for the airline said: "Nothing has been decided as yet."

It is the latest controversial proposal by media savvy O'Leary, which coincides with Ryanair raising its profit forecasts for the year by 10%.

O'Leary has raised eyebrows in the past with wild budget brainwaves such as removing toilets to make way for seats and charging £1 to spend a penny.

However it was cheapskate repairs that saw Ryanair hitting headlines earlier this month, using gaffer tape to fix a window, forcing the plane to turn back 20 minutes into the flight.
