Major sad face for Hollyoaks' Jennifer Metcalfe! In a serious case of art imitating life imitating art, the actress who plays unlucky-in-love Mercedes McQueen has split from her Geordie Shore star boyfriend Greg Lake.
Pals of the 29-year-old, have suggested the reason behind the break-up is that Jen still isn't over her ex, Sylvain Longchambon.
The Frenchman was her Dancing On Ice partner in 2011 and reportedly ditched Jen for Coronation Street's Samia Ghadie when they were partnered up for the Sunday night celebrity contest this year. Ouch.
Talking to the Mirror, a friend of the actress said: "Jen and Greg were always doomed – she isn't really over everything that happened with Sylvain.
"She's a lovely girl and deserves to be happy, especially after everything she went through with Sylvain, which was really humiliating for her. But it doesn't look like Greg is the one for her.
"They knew each other anyway, but started spending more time together. It all heated up very fast, but now it looks like it's hit the skids – they weren't right for each other."
