A blind man has solved a Rubik’s Cube – nine months after he began the puzzle.
Sameer Doshi modified the 3-D brain-teaser using tabs of Velcro, plastic gems and puffy stickers so he could use his sense of touch to line up the colours.
The 32-year-old, who was left permanently bind by an incorrect dose of steroid drops during cataract surgery, says his success has made him determined not to let his lack of sight hold him back from challenges.

Doshi also favoured the task because it was portable and silent – meaning he wouldn’t wake his baby daughter at night.
The engineer from Illinois, USA, told Caters News: "Solving the Rubik's Cube made me realise there are practically no limits to what I or anyone else can do.
"I think it's very important that people push themselves and not let little things like blindness get in the way of making the world a better place.”
And Doshi means every word – for his next challenge he hopes to win a seat on the Illinois House of Representatives.
He added: "Many people have told me it will be too difficult to win as a blind man - but I solved a Rubik's Cube while blind so I believe anything is possible."
