‘Coronation Street’ actress Samia Ghadie has married her long-term partner Sylvain Longchambon.
The star, who plays Maria Connor on the ITV soap, wed her former ‘Dancing On Ice’ professional partner at Gary Barlow’s old home Delamere Manor, in Cuddington, Cheshire on Saturday (20 August).
Many of Samia’s ‘Corrie’ co-stars were in attendance at the nuptials, including Antony Cotton, Catherine Tyldesley and Shayne Ward.
Catherine - better known to soap fans as Eva Price - tweeted:
Samia and Sylvain met when she was a contestant on ‘Dancing On Ice’ in 2012.
She was married to property developer Matthew Smith at the time, while Sylvain was dating ‘Hollyoaks’ actress Jennifer Metcalfe, who he’d partnered on a previous series of ‘DOI’.
They announced their engagement in May last year, and welcomed their first child together, Yves Joseph, four months later.
Samia had shared her excitement ahead of her big day in her OK! online column, writing: “With all the planning that’s gone into it, I want to be able to try and enjoy the day as much as we can.
“A lot of people who get married say that they hardly spoke to their husband on the day so I’d really like to try and get a few minutes with Sylvain where it’s just us to be able to digest it all.
“We’ve also tried to keep our guest numbers down as much as possible to our really close friends and family as we want to be able to spend time with everyone and not to get to the end of the day and feel like we’ve not had chance to chat to all our guests.”
