Samsung has filed a patent for a foldable smartphone which harks back to its iconic flip phones.
The patent shows a long, narrow handset with a flexible seam that enables it two fold in half semi-automatically.
When the phone is closed, the back becomes a secondary screen, according to the patent.
The South Korean tech giant is considering releasing two phones with bendable screens next year, according to a Bloomberg report.
Last week, it was reported that Apple had also been awarded a patent for a new foldable iPhone concept.
