Sarah Harding Leaves 'Ghost The Musical' Performance Halfway Through

'It was very strange... she seemed perfectly fine.'

Theatre-goers were left confused on Monday night (10 October), when Sarah Harding bowed out in the middle of a performance of ‘Ghost The Musical’, only to be replaced by her understudy after the interval.

Sarah is currently starring in the lead role of Molly in a touring production of ‘Ghost The Musical’, which was performed at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens earlier this week.

However, the former Girls Aloud singer’s understudy had to take over the performance midway through.

One audience member told the Blackpool Gazette there hadn’t appeared to be anything amiss with Sarah during the first half, explaining: It was very strange.

Various news outlets have also quoted a source suggesting Sarah was seen “slurring” and “stumbling” during the performance, which she appeared to hit out at with a cryptic tweet on her social media page.

Sarah recently returned to the role of Molly after being forced to take a break last month, when she was diagnosed with an upper respiratory tract infection.

Her spokesperson said at the time: “She’s been really pushing herself over the past three weeks, rehearsing solidly for the show and making sure her performance is perfect.

“Fans of Sarah will know that she is a true grafter and that she always pushes herself to the absolute limit, but it’s all caught up with her. She still has three months of nightly performances to get through, and she’s dead set on giving it her absolute all.”
