Scarlett Moffatt Admits She Was ‘Miserable’ After Losing Three Stone On Diet To 'Look A Certain Way'

'I wanted to try and get out of the stereotypical Geordie girl.'

Scarlett Moffatt has admitted she felt “miserable” after losing three stone.

The former ‘Gogglebox’ star made the admission as she spoke at a body confidence seminar at the Glamour Beauty Festival on Sunday (11 March).

The ‘I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!’ winner said she felt pressure to “look a certain way” after being crowned queen of the jungle in 2016.

In an interview with her younger sister Ava, she said: “When I first came out of the jungle I went through a stage where I felt like I had to try and look a certain way.

“I wanted to try and get out of the stereotypical Geordie girl. I stopped wearing fake tan and wore WAG dresses.

“But I was really miserable. I like being orange and having eyelashes that go up to my forehead.”

The 27-year-old star’s comments come amid claims that she attended a Swiss boot camp in a bid to shed the pounds for the release of her weight loss DVD.

The Sun on Sunday claims Scarlett was made to exercise for six hours a day and given a maximum of 700 calories ahead of the release of her best-selling fitness DVD.

Scarlett reportedly told a friend in a text that she “wanted to make an honest DVD” and that it “doesn’t feel right”.

Following her appearance at the Glamour Festival, she tweeted her pride for her younger sister before adding cryptically: “In the words of Dr Seuss “those who matter don’t mind and those that mind don’t matter”.

A spokeswoman for the star reportedly admitted: “[Scarlett] did go to a boot camp and it was a horrid experience.

“She had to weigh herself every day and was put on a very low-calorie diet — but she categorically did not take any pills.”

Scarlett’s reps said they had no further comment when contacted by HuffPost UK.
