There’s been some good news for fans of ‘Gogglebox’, with reports claiming that Scarlett Moffatt’s upcoming stint in the ‘I’m A Celebrity’ jungle hasn’t cost her a spot on the Channel 4 show after all.
Earlier this week, it was suggested that Scarlett had sacrificed her place on ‘Gogglebox’ to take part in ‘I’m A Celeb’, as bosses were keen to stop its cast members from becoming too well-known outside the show.
However, this has now been disputed by The Sun, which has claimed that producers realised Scarlett would be too big a miss to let slip through their fingers.
A source reportedly told the newspaper: “Scarlett obviously won’t appear again on the current series because she is out in Australia.
Back in 2014, George Gilbey was given the axe when he signed up to take part in ‘Celebrity Big Brother’, only to return to ‘Gogglebox’ earlier this year.
The insider continues: “They realised they made a mistake by sacking George when he went on Big Brother.
Scarlett is one of 10 celebrities getting ready for a stint in the jungle, where she’ll be joined by the likes of TV personality Carol Vorderman, controversial ‘Strictly’ pro Ola Jordan and ‘Gavin And Stacey’ star Larry Lamb.
Ant and Dec will be back to host the new series, which kicks off on Sunday (13 November) at 9pm on ITV.
