Does the BBC know something the rest of us don't? As the prime minister delivered his most high profile yet speech on the prospect of Scottish Independence, its news channel appeared to have already given up hope that the union could be saved.
The broadcaster accidentally suggested Cameron had told his audience in Edinburgh that the UK was a "previous thing".
As Radio 5 Live presenter Richard Bacon noted on Twitter:
Before anyone panics and starts stuffing their Union Flags into the recycling, we are 99% sure Cameron said "precious".
