‘Strictly Come Dancing’ contestant Seann Walsh has admitted that his “difficult week” has affected his rehearsals, ahead of this week’s live shows.

Seann and professional partner Katya Jones have dominated the headlines for the last week, ever since they were caught on camera kissing after a night out.

The pair - who both had partners at the time of the kiss - posted apologies on their social media accounts, but Seann’s now-ex posted her own statement soon after, in which she accused the comedian of branding her a “psycho” when she asked him whether anything was going on between him and his dance partner.

Speaking on Friday’s edition of ‘Strictly’ companion show ‘It Takes Two’, Seann admitted that the media furore had hindered their rehearsals, revealing it had been a “difficult week” for the both of them.

“We’re having the same problem with the Charleston we had with the Jive,” he explained. “You’ve got to be so fit to be able to do this.

“We’ve had a difficult week this week so we’re a bit behind. It’s making it harder for us to get to the finishing line in time.”

Seann and Katya’s time on ‘Strictly’ could well be numbered, with bookies naming them as the favourites to get the chop this week, despite having come in fifth place in the most recent ‘Strictly’ live show.

Earlier this week, Seann and Katya gave their first interview on ‘It Takes Two’ since the drama began, in which he insisted he wasn’t the man that was being portrayed in the media.

See how they and the other remaining couples get on in this week’s ‘Strictly’ live show, kicking off at 6.40pm tonight on BBC One.
