Police have arrested a second man after villagers complained of being “charged at” by a grunting individual wearing a gimp suit.
It comes after one victim managed to photograph a man in a black rubber suit as he approached her as she walked through Claverham in Somerset late at night last week.
Abi Conroy told the BBC: “He kept coming towards me and was touching his groin, grunting and breathing heavy.”
Speaking to the Daily Mail, she said she already suffers from anxiety and is now struggling to come to terms with the encounter.
“I looked and when I saw the stitching around the mouth and the red eyes I was just like ‘oh my God.’
Conroy’s wife, Pip, added that the couple had recently moved to the area from Birmingham in search of peace and quiet, but that the attack had left them feeling “paranoid.”
A spokesman for Avon and Somerset Police said: “We’ve arrested a second man in connection with a series of incidents in the Claverham/ Yatton area.
“Since November last year, we’ve received 14 reports of a man approaching people while wearing disguises, one of which was a black body suit.
“In some of the incidents the offender is said to have performed indecent acts.”
The man, aged in his 30s, was arrested on Tuesday on suspicion of indecency offences and is currently in police custody. A man in his 20s arrested on Monday has been released on police bail and inquiries into the incidents are ongoing.
