Sienna Miller is set to return to Broadway!
Sienna will play Sally Bowles in Sam Mendes' production of the hit musical Cabaret from 17 February. She will replace the current star of the show, Emma Stone, for the final six weeks of performances before it closes on 29 March.
Cabaret arrived on Broadway in 1966 and was made famous when Liza Minnelli played the role of saucy Sally in the 1972 Academy Award-winning film.
The Broadway classic tells the story of American novelist Cliff Bradshaw, who fell in love with the singer Sally Bowles from the raunchy Kit Kat Klub, during 1930s pre-war Berlin.
Sienna Miller first appeared on Broadway in the 2009 production of Patrick Marber's After Miss Julie, and has also featured in the 2011 West End revival of Terence Ratigan's Flare Path. She is currently starring in films American Sniper and Foxcatcher, nominated for Best Picture at this year's Golden Globes.
