Silk - BBC1, 9pm
It's time to head back to Shoe Lane Chambers as legal drama Silk returns for a second series. Maxine Peake is back as Martha Costello (now a QC) and Rupert Penry-Jones reprises his role as Clive - but this time as Martha's junior.
Speaking about Martha and Clive's relationship in the series, Peake told the BBC: "[They] are now the best of friends and, as with the people you love the most, they challenge and taunt each other.
"I adore their relationship. As Rupert put it perfectly: they are like brother and sister who sometimes get a little confused."
There's no warming up in episode one as there's a tough case to crack. Martha's tasked with defending a gangster's heavy accused of blinding a car-wash attendant. Thinks look pretty dire, he was found with blood on his shoes and made a confession to the police.
Meanwhile, Clive - still annoyed from his unsuccessful silk application - takes on a sensitive case with a new solicitor.
Dirty Britain - ITV1, 9pm
Not for the squeamish, part one of this two-part documentary meets the men and women who clean up after the nation. It takes us to Manchester for an introduction to two sewer workers, an event cleaner and a bedbug-battling pest controller.
Plus we meet two men who have the terrifying job of cleaning the windows of the Gherkin in London - from the outside. Well, someone's got to do it...
