Simon Cowell has revealed that he’d love to make a special version of ‘The X Factor’ that would see a host of famous faces going head to head in the singing competition to raise money for charity
Speaking to the Daily Star, the music mogul revealed he’d be up for producing a special celebrity version of ‘X Factor’ to raise money for the annual charity event ‘Text Santa’.

However, he did say that if the show were to be a success, it’d have to be leaps and bounds above the 2006 series, ‘The X Factor: Battle of the Stars’, which saw ‘EastEnders’ actress Lucy Benjamin emerge triumphant over A-listers including Gillian McKeith, Paul Daniels and Michelle Marsh.
The previous celebrity version of ‘The X Factor’ became infamous for an incident when Sharon Osbourne suggested to Rebecca Loos that she “should try doing tomorrow’s performance with your knickers on”.
Simon has since branded the show “pointless” and told The Sun at the time: “We are never going to do it again.”
Meanwhile, he's also suggested that it might be a better idea to make a celebrity version of ‘Britain’s Got Talent’, telling the Daily Star he’d like to see former ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ host Bruce Forsyth dancing on it.
Caroline Flack
That would probably be a fair swap - after all former ‘The Xtra Factor’ presenter Caroline Flack will be heading out onto the ‘Strictly’ dance floor when the show returns to screens later this year.
Thankfully, Caroline has since said that although she’s no longer in contact with Simon, there are no bad vibes between them after she defected to a rival show, saying: “We’re on good terms.”
