How many facebook friends is it right and proper for an MP to have? We ask after John Whittingdale, put on the spot about his online friendship with Rebekah Brooks, declared that he had 570.
His declaration prompted Louise Mensch to tweet: "what does "FB friends" mean anyway? I have 3000 plus and know about 60."
So how many is too many... and are they true friends? Take this Cabinet example: Eric Pickles is minister with the fewest visible friends, at 518, and Chris Huhne has the most facebook friends of all cabinet members, with a whopping 4713.
