José Mourinho is back at Chelsea, which means you can dislike him again. Predictably his return has been greeted with plenty of suggested transfer targets, which includes one of his vocal disciples, Wesley Sneijder.
Sneijder only joined Galatasaray in January and, with Juan Mata, Eden Hazard and Oscar a settled and superb front three, he seems like an illogical buy. However Mourinho is one of the few managers who can make the illogical logical, which is good enough for Chelsea fans.
Sneijder's supposed avarice deprived him of a move to Manchester United two years ago and, turning 29 on Sunday, he won't have another chance to move to the Premier League at his peak after this summer.
Sneijder enjoyed the season of his life under Mourinho in 2009-10
The Telegraph offer other alternatives, including Manchester City's 27-year-old striker Edin Džeko (yes, really), Benfica's ex-Blues midfielder Nemanja Matić and Porto defender Eliaquim Mangala.
Michu only signed a new Swansea contract in January but Arsenal are linked with a move for the silky Spaniard.
The Mail say Arsène Wenger is weighing up a bid for the 27-year-old, who scored 22 goals for the Swans last season - three of them against Arsenal.
Aaron Ramsey has meanwhile urged Wenger to sign Celtic's imposing defensive midfielder Victor Wanyama. The Express write that the 21-year-old Kenyan is valued at £10m.
Wanyama would offer Arsenal some much-needed steel in midfield
David Villa, who will almost certainly leave Barcelona this summer, says he will not make a decision on his future until after the Confederations Cup, which runs between 15-30 June.
Both Arsenal and Tottenham are supposedly keen on the Spaniard, effectively wasted in a wide role at Barça.
André Villas-Boas wants to bring Porto's Jackson Martínez to Spurs, the Metro chirps, as the club seek to buy a reliable frontman.
Elsewhere in London, Fulham look set to seal a deal for Roma goalkeeper Maarten Stekelenburg. The Cottagers were keen on the Holland international in January and look set to bring him to west London for £3m, claim the Star.
Stekelenburg was Holland's goalkeeper at the 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012
Liverpool are willing to match Shakhtar Donetsk's £22m valuation of Armenia international midfielder Henrikh Mkhitaryan, the Guardian say. The 24-year-old scored a record 25 goals in the Ukrainian Premier League last season and has purportedly been earmarked to ease the Reds' growing striker dilemma.
And Norwich may rekindle their interest in Bhoys striker Gary Hooper, who they failed to sign in January, however the Mail say Sunderland are hoping to beat them and Southampton to his signature.
