Snoop Dogg has been banned from entering Norway for two years after marijuana was found in his luggage in June.

The American Rapper, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, was trying to go to Hove music festival in the south of Norway when sniffer dogs at Kjevic Airport in Kristiansand identified eight grams of the drug.

He was also carrying an illegal amount of cash, reported the Associated Press. At the time of arrest, it was reported by local newspaper Adressa.no that Snoop was carrying 227,000 Norwegian kroner or £24,100.

He was fined 52,000 kroner or £5,500 for the offences and has no plans to appeal, according to his lawyer.

Snoop Dogg's Norwegian lawyer Holger Hagesæter told The Associated Press that his client "can live with the decision."

Hagesæte pointed out to the Huffington Post UK that the expulsion does not mean that Broadus is banned from other European countries, "something which could have been the case because of the Schengen agreement Norway is a part of," he added.

June was not the first time Snoop had run into trouble at Norway's border. He was stopped in Oslo last October for reportedly having too much money on his person. That didn't stop him from tweeting "at the norway border right now being sweated for havin 2much money!! Norway standup 4 the biggdogg the border guys r cool but..."
