In possibly the most unexpected cameo appearance since Kate Moss joined chavtastic Vicky Pollard in Little Britain, Sofie Gråbøl, of serious BBC4 drama The Killing, has signed up to star in the return of Absolutely Fabulous.
A BBC source told The Huffington Post UK that Gråbøl - best known for her role as Detective Inspector Sarah Lund - will feature alongside original stars Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley in one of the three comeback episodes.
The hit nineties comedy is being revived to celebrate the 20th anniversary of champagne loving Patsy and crazed PR guru Eddie’s on-screen antics.
Although there's no word from Gråbøl about her casting, the show's stars Joanna Lumley and Jennifer Saunders have both expressed their delight over the reunion.
Saunders joked: "Like a good bottle of champagne, we hope that we have got better with time without losing any of our sparkle."
The BBC source confirmed: "Sofie Gråbøl will be part of the three part special."
