Solange Knowles appears to have deleted all traces of her famous sister Beyoncé from her Instagram page after footage emerged online in which she seems to physically lash out at her brother-in-law Jay Z in an elevator.

A CCTV recording was shared online on Monday afternoon showing Jay Z and Beyoncé at a Met Ball after party last week with Solange, where she is seen striking and kicking the rapper and Roc Nation boss before being restrained by bodyguards.

The three were later photographed leaving the party together, though Jay Z was led into a different car from the one used by his wife and her sister.

Because the video contained no sound, it’s not known what caused the fight, though it’s been reported by US websites that Solange was vexed even before her Jay Z altercation. She had allegedly already been in a very public argument with fashion designer Rachel Roy.

It appears that, since the footage has been shared online, and been tweeted about countless times in the past 24 hours, Solange has deleted all of the old photos of Beyoncé from her Instagram page.

Meanwhile, in the days after the Met Ball, Beyoncé shared a picture of a prayer on her own social media page, which called for help dealing with “anyone who is not a good influence".

The prayer read: “Lord, I lift up every one of my relationships to You and ask You to bless them. I pray that each one would be glorifying to You.

“Help me to choose my friends wisely so I won’t be led astray. Give me discernment and strength to separate myself from anyone who is not a good influence.”

Despite the furore surrounding the video since it arrived online on Monday, Beyoncé and Jay Z appeared unfazed by it all while they were photographed at a basketball game later that night.

Jay Z, Beyoncé and Solange have all kept their silence so far on the incident.
