A solid gold Lego brick has become probably the single most expensive Lego set commercially available, at more than £9,000 ($14,450).
The 14-carat gold bricks were originally given as limited edition gifts to business partners and Lego employees, between 1979 and 1981.
They were given to two employees a year who had worked for more than 25 years at the factory in Hohenwestedt, Germany.
It weights 0.8 ounces, and comes in a ring box with the old Lego logo embossed inside.
Somehow the brick came into the possession of Brick Envy, a store which sells limited edition Lego sets. It's currently listed for sale - but move fast if you want it. Not only is the cost of gold going up, but the internet isn't short of people who like expensive toys...
