Sony has announced the PlayStation 4, its next-generation gaming console (even if it didn't actually unveil the machine).
It's clearly a powerful piece of kit, with the capacity for incredibly detailed games and experiences.
The new 'Dual Shock 4' controller will also set gamer's hearts racing with a built-in 'share' button for uploading video, a touch pad and an integrated motion tracking system.
But reaction to Sony's event was complicated by the fact it failed to show the machine itself, name a price or a specific release date.
