Spectre Trailer: James Bond's Aston Martin DB10 Loses To Tesla's 'Ludicrous' Car

Sorry 007 But Compared To This Your New Car Sucks
|

Everything about the new James Bond trailer for Spectre shows promise. Everything that is, except for the car.

The Aston Martin DB10 does 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds, which is not bad if you are James Bloggs with a regular nine to five job.

However, a British Secret Service car should surely offer its agents, especially the fictional ones, something with a little more voom that's going to give them the fastest way out of those unrealistically sticky situations.

Enter an automobile that has an entirely 'Ludicrous' mode. Yes, that is what the latest add-on package for the Tesla Model S P85D is called and, rightly so.

The upgrade lets drivers accelerate from 0 to 60 in 2.8 seconds. Let us repeat: that's 2.8 seconds.

According to Top Gear, the new mode, also allows you to "hit 155mph 10 per cent faster than the hardly tardy standard car."

Sorry 007, but you are definitely missing out.

The 'Ludicrous' mode costs $13,000 (£8,000) and includes an upgraded battery pack that gives the car a 300-mile range.

But the range probably won't be a problem for Bond as we're sure MI5 will have their own range of batteries to extend the electric car's life between charges.

This beast of an invention was announced at a press conference that Bond's team obviously missed.

So, this is a little note to bring the car to 007's attention.

From The Huffington Post, with love.
