Caffeine giant Starbucks has apologised after a customer received two coffees with Satanic symbols drawn into the foam.

A pentagram and a ‘666’, to be precise.

The recipient of these Satanically-themed beverages was Megan Pinion, a school teacher “of Catholic faith”, who posted a snap, along with the world’s politest complaint to the firm’s official Facebook page.

Lucifer would be licking his lips: Megan Pinion says her coffees were served to her like this

Stating that she had purchased her coffees at the Starbucks in the Mall of Louisiana, she wrote: “This is how my coffee was served to me. I unfortunately can’t give the young man’s name who served it because I was so appalled I could not bring myself to look at him.”

Generously she allows: “the star is almost okay because it is in your Starbucks logo, the 666, however, was quite offensive.”

She then adds: “I am in no way judging his beliefs or dis-meriting his beautiful artwork, I am however judging his lack of professionalism and respect for others. I am a teacher in the public school system and if I were to present a child of atheist or pagan believers with a Christian art project I could be sued in a heartbeat.

“I am of Catholic faith and would love to share in my beliefs daily. Fortunately I have enough common sense to present myself with professionalism and follow an ethics code. Perhaps that could be suggested to that particular location.”

A Starbucks representative told The Daily Advertiser: “We reached out to her through social media and apologised. We’re taking the complaint seriously. We’re not sure who served her or what kind of beverage it was.”

Employing all his sleuthing abilities, he added: “It looks kind of caramel-ish in the photos.”

Starbucks is famous for its “personal” touches – including the policy of writing customer’s names on their cups.

But it has backfired…

'Unacceptable': Veronica Goh was not impressed

Veronica added since the unfortunate misspelling, “Every Starbucks experience for her has been coupled with fear and anticipation.”
