Best-selling self-help author Stephen R. Covey, who sold tens of millions of books in over 30 languages, died on Monday after he finally succumbed to injuries sustained in a bicycle crash in March.
Covey, who was 79, famously wrote 'The 7 Habits Of Highly Effective People', which has sold at least 20 million copes since its publication in 1989, was involved in an accident in April which left the American with injuries to the head and ribs, and a partly collapsed lung.
Unfortunately, he was never fully able recover, dying on 16 July in an Idaho hospital, according to a spokeswoman for his leadership training and consulting company he co-founded, FranklinCovey.
Covey, a Mormon born in Salt Lake City, Utah in 1932, was best known for the self-help book, which spent an incredible four years on bestseller lists.
He also set up a massively-successful consultancy company, which boasted dozens of Fortune 500 companies as clients.
Covey is survived by wife Sandra, nine children, 52 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
