The strapless, floor-sweeping gown was the dress style of choice at the Brit Awards 2012, with Kylie Minogue and Lana Del Rey all opting for bare-shouldered designs.

All three stars shunned the ever-popular black gown and played a game of 'who can wear the brightest colour on the red carpet?' instead.
Scherzinger did her best to steal the limelight in a sequin embellished, pale yellow number while over in the blue corner, Kylie wowed in a belted, blue design by YSL. However, the Crayola-coloured trio wouldn't have been complete without Lana Del Rey, who continued the colour-popping theme in a stunning gown by Vivienne Westwood.
The ladies stuck to the same rules when it came to hair and accessories too; their long locks were left down and jewellery was kept to a minimum for an effortlessly glam look.
