Street artist Phlegm’s most recent creation, a 33-feet high robot, is hardwired to make an impression.
The piece, which took 4 days to complete, is painted on the outside wall of a derelict substation in Sheffield.
The bold and intricate ‘pen and ink’ detailing are characteristic of the artist's unique style.
Phlegm’s work has a sinister, nightmarish feel, with ill-proportioned, other-worldly figures operating complicated machinery - enough to give anyone the heebie jeebies.
Phlegm also self-publishes his own comic books, but is spending more and more time on his street art. His canvas of choice tends to be abandoned buildings or open urban spaces, although his work has also appeared on canal boats and on planes.
Although much of his work is in Sheffield where he is based, his graffiti-come-murals can also be found in London, Wales and as far afield as Norway and Croatia.
